Check out the FotoFolios…

I’m sure my botty’s gonna get a canin’ from a client demanding their work sooner or later, but I couldn’t resist using all my new iMac can provide and have spent some time populating the FotoFolio areas of this Blog site. Have also discovered some other great online resources for those of you also tired of the daily grind and constant demands:-

www.openfilm.com is a fabulous portal to the world of independent cinema – beaucoup shorts and clips to view, but be warned: once you start surfing you won’t be able to stop so make sure your monitor is pointed well away from the BossMan/BossGirl! (delete as applicable!)…

www.blurb.com is an absolute must for those interested in self-publishing via Print-On-Demand – check it out; a great website & resource for all of us who know we’ve got at least one good book in us…

www.magcloud.com is another great site discovered in the past week where anyone can self-publish their own magazine title. Costs seem highly competitive and some of the work I came across (particularly in the Art + Photography sections) was – awesome!…

Finally for this entry, much kudos to the work and endeavours of two highly talented individuals who’s work I saw on Blurb and MagCloud:-

Clay Lipsky is a designer/director/photographer I discovered through MagCloud; Clay’s landscapes in ‘Between Here & Nowhere‘ confined me to non-work activity for far longer than is healthy in the current economic climate!…

John Moore is another who’s work I came across via Blurb; his stunning collection of images in the book ‘Spirit‘, memories from a journey he undertook along the 211-mile John Muir trail in the Sierra Nevada mountains back in 2008/09 to raise awareness & funds for the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation, Glasgow and Access Adventure, Fairfield, California, evoked memories of the first time I lay eyes on the work of Ansel Adams as a young pup in Art College…

For any of you out there in search of inspiration on a regular basis, you should also add www.behance.net to your weekly intake – a veritable cornucopia of all that’s good, varied, ground breaking and inspiring to the creative mind…

Great work, great inspiration, great life – more soon!
